Rev. Dr. Rebecca Irelan

Rev. Dr. Rebecca Irelan brings a wealth of wisdom, compassion, and leadership to her  role as pastor of TLPC.  Her journey through academia and ministry reflects a deep commitment to understanding and serving her faith community. Known for her thoughtful approach to theology and her engaging pastoral presence, she has touched lives in profound ways throughout her career.  Pastor Irelan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Boston University, obtained a Master of Divinity from Duke University, and received a Doctorate in Systemic Theology from the University of California, Berkeley.  When asked her thoughts on the future that lies ahead of her in her new call, Pastor Rebecca said:  “ I am so intrigued by where TLPC and COM are at in their separate and common journeys. The opportunity to work across theological traditions and with folks of no tradition both challenges and entices me. Plus, the beauty of God’s Creation around Truckee absolutely thrills me. I know I can serve God anywhere, but as I was raised in the Rockies, the mountains have always called to me.”

WELCOME!

At TLPC we believe that God came to us in Jesus, who was both fully human and fully divine. Jesus lived among us, revealing the good news that God loves and saves us by grace. This promise was fulfilled through Jesus crucifixion and resurrection, bringing new life. By the gift of grace, received through faith,  We welcome all who are seeking God’s love and grace, regardless of race or culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or relationship status, including those with addictions, physical or mental health challenges.  As followers of Jesus we are transformed and set free to love and serve all others, just as God loves us.  As a faith community we are attempting to live out our Mission Statement  in our community and the world.
